What is in the Second Brain tab

• The folder, its counts (notes, sections, embedded) and Rescan with the result of the last scan
• Search: type words and see the passages JBWhisper would find
• Tool console: run the same tool calls the model uses, such as search_vault; a path outside the folder is refused

Add documents

1. Add documentsPress Add documents or drop files on the window: PDF, Word (.docx), text, Markdown and images.
2. Watch them processEach document is turned into Markdown in your folder; headings and tables are kept. It is ready for keyword search at once and for semantic search once its embeddings are made.
3. Keep interviewsAfter a session JBWhisper can offer to keep the interview in your Second Brain. It lists interviews that are not in it yet.

How an answer is grounded

1. While the question is askedThe search runs on a question mark, after a short pause, or the moment the answer starts — never twice for the same words.
2. Keyword first, then meaningKeyword search on the local index answers in milliseconds; a combined keyword-and-meaning search runs beside it and is used if it is back within 300 ms (at most 900 ms).
3. Only real matches countResults must actually match the question. If nothing does, the answer is told “no notes: make no personal claims”.
